Introduction
The Information Technology (IT) Wing of Punjab Saaf Pani Authority (PSPA) serves as the digital backbone of the Authority, responsible for:
• Developing, managing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure required to support automation, digital operations, and data-driven governance across all departments.
• Overseeing information systems, network infrastructure, and digital platforms that enable PSPA to operate efficiently and transparently.
• Implementing robust IT governance frameworks by defining and enforcing operational parameters for the use of technological resources across all organizational units.
• Driving the adoption of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen data management, and improve digital service delivery.
Key IT Initiatives
1. PSPA Sites Dashboard — GIS Mapping
• Interactive GIS-based dashboard with color-coded indicators for functional and non-functional filtration sites.
• Cascade filtering system navigable from Zone → Division → District → Tehsil for precise data access.
• Supports real-time zone-wise monitoring and data export for reporting and analysis.
2. CBMS — Cluster Based Monitoring System
• Integrated web portal and native Android mobile application for field inspection of water filtration plants across all ten divisions of Punjab.
• Four core modules: Sites Dashboard, Field Inspection Summary, Daily Inspections, and Site Management.
• Secure login with automatic daily assignment of ten inspection sites per division.
• GPS-enabled route tracking with a standardized 12-point inspection checklist and photographic evidence from three angles per site.
• Smart proximity-based randomized site inspection.
• Role-based access for Deputy Directors (DDs) with division-locked controls and real-time synchronization with the central portal.
• Records plant capacity, WFP status, operator details, cleanliness, water quality reports, electricity meter status, contracts, tap conditions, and site imagery.
3. ERP System
• Fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system streamlining organizational workflows and inter-departmental data flow.
• Supports data-driven decision-making across administrative, financial, and operational functions.
4. DMS — Document Management System
• In-house developed platform enabling a fully paperless working environment — a pioneering initiative in Punjab.
• Facilitates secure document storage, retrieval, version control, and workflow management for enhanced institutional record-keeping.
5. E-Profile
• Digital employee lifecycle management system maintaining staff qualifications, certifications, and training records.
• Fully integrated with the Authority's Attendance Management System (AMS) for accurate and up-to-date HR data.
6. E-Payroll
• HRMIS-integrated payroll system ensuring accurate, automated, and transparent salary processing.
• Generates detailed analytical reports categorized by grade and department for financial oversight and audit compliance.
7. Employee Dashboard
• Real-time performance and operational analytics with zone-wise and district-wise data visualization.
• Enables informed management decisions through actionable workforce productivity insights.
8. Career Portal
• Online recruitment platform managing vacancy announcements, candidate applications, and hiring workflows.
• Ensures a transparent, merit-based, and efficient recruitment process for the Authority.
9. Cloud Storage & Email System
• Secure cloud-based storage infrastructure ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility.
• Official PSPA email system for all staff, supporting efficient internal and external institutional communication.
