Department of Planning

The Department of Planning is responsible for strategic project planning, technical design oversight, and institutional coordination — ensuring that all initiatives align with the Authority's mandate and development priorities.

• Preparing PC-I documents for the Annual Development Programme and securing requisite approvals through the prescribed planning process.
• Preparing and finalizing the Schedule of New Expenditures (SNE) and obtaining management approval.
• Engaging short-term technical consultants, as directed by management, to address specific planning and advisory needs.
• Reviewing and finalizing detailed engineering designs of projects under the supervision of the technical team.
• Issuing Technical Sanctions for all projects following thorough consultations with the designated PSPA team.
• Acquiring, utilizing, and managing financing from bilateral agencies, NGOs, and philanthropic donors in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Preparing and maintaining minutes of Governing Body meetings, Water Board sessions, weekly progress reviews, and staff meetings.
• Addressing public grievances related to water quality, technology selection, and project site locations in a timely and professional manner.
• Responding to queries and questions received from the Punjab Assembly and individual members of parliament or government departments.
